The Course

Okay, I've been approached to teach a course for graduate students this summer. The course will last for four hours each day, for one week and the subject will be digital storytelling. Since this will be a one credit course, the students will explore the concepts behind learning through and with digital stories and by the end of the course they will have created a digital story of some personal significance to their own learning.

This past week I approached my boss in Engineering Distance Education about the cost of recording the course to offer it online. We've arrived on a price and I've been talking with my mentor/major professor about how we can market the course in order to involve teachers that may want to take it from a distance.

I'm really looking forward to this new dimension in my teaching and the depth it will give to the course. I'm also excited to have a record of my teaching in video format to take with me as I head out into my career in higher education.
